I was very disappointed to note that our school attendance really declined towards the end of last term with many families travelling abroad. Please note, that if the absence is not authorised, or you have not applied for leave of absence before travelling, there will be a fine per child per parent. This will amount to £120 per child, if paid within 14 days, or £240 if paid after the 14 days are up.

Colour Assemblies: will be held on the 8th January 2015 at 9.10am
Green classes, in the Dance Studio
Blue/Rainbow Classes, in the Main hall.

Mad Hatter’s Tea Party On the 15th January 2015, we are asking our children to join in and enjoy a healthy nutritious lunch. It will be a themed menu to coincide with the National Hat Day, appropriately being called ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party’. Children will be handed out hat templates to design and create a ‘mad hat’. Templates will go into a prize draw, so get your thinking hats on! (no pun intended).
The lunch menu with reply slips will be sent out, please send in money and slips by the 9th January 2015.

The Happy Puzzle Company are returning to Cranbrook! This will be led by Mind Missions, who are hands on with Maths, thinking and team building expeditions. Please refer to the letters which have been sent home for additional information.

Dinner money arrears Parents are reminded that it is your responsibility to ensure all dinner arrears are paid promptly. Despite numerous reminders there are still parents who have not paid their child’s dinner arrears for last term. A Group Call to these parents will be sent out today. Please settle your child’s account by Thursday. Any Parent who does not pay will have to provide their child with a packed lunch.

School Crossing Due to the proposed bus strike next Tuesday 13th January, it may not be possible for our school patrol officer to attend the crossing by St. Georges Road. Please be mindful of this and make arrangements for your children.

Reception Admissions 2015 If your child’s birthday is between 1st September 2010 and 31st August 2011, you can now apply online for a primary school place by visiting the Redbridge website www.redbridge.gov.uk and use the link to eAdmissions. If you are not a Redbridge resident you will need to apply via your own Council (even for a Redbridge school). The deadline for online applications is Thursday 15th January 2015 at 11.59pm. Please note, you will only be allocated a place if your child meets the admissions criteria. Please read it carefully.
