Parent Governor Vacancy
Unfortunately, we have had a delay in  processing the final paperwork for the   secret ballot that is now required, as we have 6 nominations. I am really pleased to note that we have this number of parents willing to give their time to this important and rewarding role. Please read the letter that is being sent out today and vote for 1   parent only. The ballot will be open for 10 working days in line with the Governance Protoco

CFA Summer Fair -  Thursday 11th June  3.15-5.15pm
Come  along  and  support  this  main annual  event.  We are raising money for more outdoor play equipment for the children, such as the outdoor gym equipment.  There is a superheroes / fairytales theme and children are   invited  to  dress up on the day  and  donate £1. We have private stalls and lots of fun activities. There will be food including samosas, pakoras, fish and chips, pizza, barbeque, ice cream and cakes. We have space for a few more stalls - please  contact Rahima to book. Raffle tickets and tokens have been on sale from  Monday in the playground before and after school and also from the School Office. Money will only be accepted on food stalls and private stalls. We rely on your generous  donations to make these events a  success. We have asked for Nursery, Reception and Year 1 to bring along some chocolate from Monday, Year 2 and 5 to bring along individual cartons of drink from Monday and Years 3 and 4 to bring in cakes on the day. If it rains tomorrow the event will have to be cancelled Group calls will be sent out to clarify.

Sports Day 15th June 2015 For Year 1-6

I hope you have got this date in your diaries and that you will be able to come along to the school field to  support your child/ren.

Years 1-3 9.15am start / Years 4-6 1.30pm start.

Years 1, 2 & 3 are to come into school wearing their class colour T-shirt and PE kit. Uniform must be brought in their uniform bag for the afternoon. Years 4, 5 & 6 are to come in wearing their school uniform and PE kits and colour T-shirt are to be brought in their uniform bag. Please apply sun cream to your child if the weather is warm. If the weather is cooler please supply your child with black jogging bottoms and a jumper. All children will also need a water bottle  available to them throughout the day. Let’s all wish for good weather! If it rains on Monday 15th, we will have Sports Day on Tuesday 16th June.

Ramadan

As Ramadan starts next week, I would encourage all parents to note that as this is the period that class teachers are undertaking the final assessments and the weather is warming up, it would be in the children’s interest not to fast during the school week.
