Newsletter No.7 16th October 2013

Congratulations to the following writers of the week: Ayaan Ajmal, Sami Ahmad, Sukhraj Paul, Summer Bowen, Volodmyr Brylinski, Ibraheem Abou-El-Seoud, Fatima     Naweed, Aris Saleh, Muhammad Kamil Nisar, Rameen Qamar-Ahmed, Shayaan Younis, Rianna Barton, Zayna Sheikh, Manha Shah, Muhammad Rafay, Nabhan Naweed, Ariyan Tipu, Naseera Parkhetiya, Aman Singh Birdi, Daren Sungalee, Umar Choudhury, Kawsar Ahmed, Kian Bailey, Reece Barton and Naiha Minhas.
‘Mathelete’ Awards were received by: Mahima Islam, Ria Sharma, Alishba Saddiqui, Kaysah Mahmood, Parker Samuel, Aliza Khan, Harsimran Kaur Sagoo, Talia Mishkin, Rehan Rehman, Sumayah Rafiq, Mikayla Thompson, Nayana Mathad, Haider Ishfaq, Mohid Khan, Victor Alloh, Habiba Hussain, Darran Rasakumar, Michal Nickel, Afitya Verma, Yetunde Fadojutimi, Stefan Benjamin, Priscilla Osei, Ridha Naushad, Arshian Khan and Sabah Jamil.
In July, Year 1 Green (now Y2 Green) made congratulation cards for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their son. This week the class received a letter of gratitude from the Duke and Duchess. The following children received a personal letter of thanks for their beautiful and creative cards: Ishma Shaikh, Oliwia Wilgierz, Parker Samuel, Kerathan Sajinan and Bavneet Sagoo.
Well done to all of you!
Missed P.E. Sessions Some parents have raised concerns about missed P.E. lessons. Please note that if it is raining, classes do not go out for their games lesson. Sometimes, when Year Groups are rehearsing for performances, the hall is also required. However, we will make sure that this is not too frequent.
Parking I am appalled to receive reports of inconsiderate parking by our parents from local residents. One resident who was unable to collect her own children as her car was blocked by a parent’s vehicle, was told that the school had given him permission to park there and that was the penalty of living so close to a school. This behaviour is totally unacceptable and the school certainly does not endorse this sort of behaviour! Please use the car park or park considerately.
