Staff Updating
I am pleased to welcome Joe Wilson, our new Assistant Headteacher, who joined the staff team last week. Joe has joined us from a very large     successful school from Newham. I am sure you will all welcome him along with the staff and children, and wish him well.

Yr 6 Glasbury Residential Trip
We saw our Year 6 children and staff return from this week long residential trip on Sunday, looking very tired after the very many physical activities. I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank all the staff who gave up their personal time, to take the children and for looking after them so well — Jade, Sheena, Aine, Sharifa, Jacob and Chris.

CFA Summer Fair Thurs 19th June 3.15pm-5pm
Plans are well underway for our Summer Fair. Once again, we will have a range of fun and exciting stalls for you to peruse and to help us raise money for the playgrounds. The theme this year is ’Traditional British’. Children are invited to bring in £1 and come dressed in non-uniform (red, white & blue), or in traditional old English attire. Year 5 children can bring in their donations of cupcakes from 16th-18th June.

If it rains, the event will be cancelled, as the school is now too big to move such an event inside.

Thank you for your donations of drinks, chocolates, crisps and prizes. Please continue to send them this week. We would welcome more donations, if you have not already sent anything in.

Please note Tokens for all Games will be on sale in the playground from this afternoon. They are 50p per token or £2 per strip of 5 tokens.

Hot weather / Water bottles
Please may I remind parents and carers to send your child into school with a water bottle as it now seems to be getting hotter. Also, if your child suffers from hayfever, please give their medication before coming to school or leave the medication in the office with a member of office staff not with your child.

Redbridge Mini Games
On Wednesday 4th June children in Year 4 & Year 5 represented the School at the Redbridge Mini Games. All children thoroughly enjoyed the day and represented Cranbrook with pride and effort. Overall, we finished 20th out of 40 schools, which is a great improvement. I would like to personally thank all the children who participated in this event.

You can provide your feedback by going to the school website and to the link for the Parent Questionnaire or by visiting the OFSTED website Parent View link. If you would like a paper copy of the survey, please ask the school office.
