Parent Survey
As a staff team and Governing Body, we are always keen to receive feedback from parents, both positive and negative, so that we can identify our strengths and areas for               improvement.
You can provide your feedback by going to the school website and to the link for the Parent Questionnaire or by visiting the OFSTED website Parent View link. If you would like a paper copy of the survey, please ask the school office.

CFA Summer Fair Thurs 19th June 3.15pm-5pm
Plans are well underway for our Summer Fair. Once again, we will have a range of fun and exciting stalls for you to peruse and to help us raise money for the playgrounds.
Private stalls are still available as well. Please contact Rahima if you are interested in running a private stall. The theme this year is ’Traditional British’. Children are invited to bring in £1 and come dressed in non-uniform (red, white & blue).
We are asking for each family to donate some food/drink for this by Wednesday 11th June. Donations from each year group are as follows:
·         Reception & Nursery - individual cartons or bottles of soft drinks.
·         Year 1 & 2 - chocolate (for the chocolate tombola).
·         Years 3 & 4 - small prizes e.g. bouncy balls, pencils, bubbles or sweets (the kind of thing you can buy in the pound shop).
·         Year 6 - individual bags of crisps.
Year 5 children can bring in their donations of cupcakes from 16th-18th June. If it rains, the event will be cancelled, as the school is now too big to move such an event inside.

New Initiatives for September 2014
You may be aware from the national press that many key new initiatives are due to begin implementation in Schools from September 2014. Many of these have major implications for operational services and will include the following:
·         Universal Free School Meals for all children under the age of 7. However, those eligible for free school meals will still be required to apply for this.
·         New Primary Curriculum for Years 1, 3, 4 and 5 (Years 2, & 6 September 2015). We will be running workshops to update you later this term.
·         Performance related Pay staff
·         SEN (Special Educational Needs) Reforms
·         New OFSTED Framework
Over the next few weeks, I will be providing further details on the above.

Colour Assemblies There are no colour assemblies this week and next week due to the ‘Happy Puzzle Company’. Coloured assemblies will resume on 19th June.

Face Painting Workshop: Just a quick reminder, we are holding a face painting workshop tomorrow Thursday 5th June at 1.45pm-3pm in the Small Hall. Parents and volunteers with an artistic flair are invited to learn the basic skills of face painting. This is an exciting opportunity to learn some valuable tips and techniques in the trade.   Furthermore, this will hopefully give you the experience to join us in the summer fair to use these skills as a face painter!

IT Workshop: Cranbrook is hosting an IT Workshop on 23th June from 9.30am-11am. If you would like help to set up an email account, download free apps, understand   Facebook, finding out about how to keep track of what your child is looking at on the internet, set up parental controls and understand privacy settings. Please come along. Refreshments will be provided and certificates and goody bags will be awarded. To reserve a place or to find out more, please contact Beverley on 0208 518 2562.
