TEACHER STRIKE 26TH MARCH As indicated in the previous newsletters, the school WILL BE CLOSED TOMORROW, as there are a high number of teachers taking action. Please make any necessary childcare arrangements. I hope this does not cause too much inconvenience.
Colour Assemblies There will be no colour assemblies running on 27th March or 3rd April. They will resume as usual after the Spring break on 24th April.
Lost Property Once again we have a high number of items with no names on in the lost property. These are usually located in the playground at the beginning and end of each day. Please take a look in there if your child has lost any items of clothing.
CFA Diversity Event on 3rd April 3.15-4.45pm Please remember that no ticket purchasing is required for this event. We are aiming to raise at least £3000 to be matched by Barclays for installing an outdoor climbing frame for the children’s use at lunch and playtimes. Please come and support this event. We will be holding a talent show and there will be lots of food to purchase, a raffle, henna, face painting and a variety of private stalls. If each parent spends £4 only, we will meet our target amount. If you are available to help on Tuesday 1st April at 1.30pm and anytime on Thursday 3rd April, please contact Amanda or Beverley via the school office.
We are asking for each family to donate some food or drink for the event as follows:
Nursery/Reception - Easter eggs
Year 1 - Fairy cakes
Year 2 - Fruit/fruit salad/fruit juice
Year 3 - Bottles or cartons of soft drink
Year 4 - Caribbean food
Year 5 - Cultural food
Year 6—Soft drinks or crisps
If you have more than one child, we only ask for one donation. Children are also invited to bring in £1 if they come into school in non-uniform.
Raffle tickets will be on sale in the playground before and after school from Monday. We have some fabulous prizes including nail vouchers, restaurant vouchers, baskets of flowers, Wilkinsons vouchers and sweet baskets.
Easter eggs, crisps and bottles of drink should be sent into school on Monday 31st March. All fresh food should be sent in on 3rd April by midday if possible.
