Unauthorised Holidays and Fines Please note that any absences between 26th April and 28th April will not be authorised unless we are in receipt of medical evidence.

New Fencing By now you will have noticed the new fencing that has recently been erected in the playground. This is to enable us to create a quiet area for activities at play and lunchtimes as well as to ensure a safe and secure handover of the children to parents at the end of the school day, when it is extremely busy.

Staffing Update Welcome to Sam Patel, Year 5 Group leader, Joyce in Year 2, Saima who will be supporting and covering classes across the school, Schweta who has returned from maternity leave and Tahera who has joined Nursery.

Cookery Room I am pleased to report that we have furnished a room on the middle floor as a Cookery and Parents room, which will be available for use by all classes and PTA events.

Breakfast and After School Clubs These clubs will now be held in the new location of the Small Hall where new facilities have been fitted. If you are interested in using this childcare provision, please contact the school office for information on costs.

Open School As usual, I would like to invite all parents and carers to walk through the school and look at your child’s class books on Wednesday 4th May between 3.30 and 4.15pm. Please note that this is an opportunity for the children to show their books to their parents, rather than a meeting with the class teacher.

Non-uniform Day In celebration of the historic events that have and will be taking place, i.e. St George’s Day (23rd April) and the Royal Wedding, all children are invited to come into school tomorrow (Thursday 28th April) dressed as Princes or Princesses, Brides or Grooms or any character relating to the Wedding Party.
