A Gold Award was given to Khaira Ali, Daneen Gazi and Mustavi Emdad.
Headteacher’s Award was given to Ismail Patel for creating a mathematical formula and sharing it with everyone in celebration assembly.

Year 1 Performance As always, it was wonderful to see such a great turnout for last week’s performance for year 1 parents. The children rose to the challenge fabulously! Well done to all staff and children!
 
Fundraising for Cancer UK On 24th April we will be having a non-uniform day, where children will be invited to come as a sports personality.
On Sunday 26th April, Michael Tracey is running for the London Marathon to support this charity and would welcome your support with a donation of £1.
 
Bertie Bank If you are having a clear out over the holidays, please donate any unwanted clothes, shoes and fabrics via our Bertie Bank by the Main Hall.

Attendance Well done to class Year 6 Yellow for achieving 97.4%.
The overall percentage for last week for the whole school was 95.2%.
 
Dietary Needs If your child has dietary needs, please fill out the diet sheet sent home and send to the ISS Catering.

Egyptian Day On Thursday 2nd April, Year 5 will be holding their Egyptian day. This will be a fun day where the children will be able to participate in       activities linked to our topic.
 
Please ensure that your child dresses in something relating to ancient Egypt, if you would need ideas for the type of clothing, please speak to the class    teacher.
At the end of the day there will be an Egyptian feast, so if each child can bring in something relating to their topic for the feast to share with their class, such as fruit cake, pitta bread, flat bread, fruits, dried fruits, olives and humous. All dishes should be vegetarian and must contain NO NUTS.
 
Numeracy Course for Parents Parents/carers are invited to take part in a 5 week Numeracy course at Cranbrook Primary School. The course will start on Friday 24th April 2015 and will run for 5 weeks until Friday 22nd May from 9am – 11am. Parents will have the opportunity to understand how and what their children are learning in Maths lessons at school, discover new strategies to build confidence and support their child’s learning, as well as improving their own numeracy skills. A certificate will be awarded to all participants at the end of the course. If you would like to enrol then please telephone 020 8518 2562.
 
Redbridge Cycling Centre There will be coaching sessions for kids as well as BMX sessions, running during the Easter holidays.

Colour Assemblies will be cancelled this Thursday.
 
Easter Break 3rd– 20th April 2015 Please note that all holidays during term time will be unauthorised and parents who take their children out will be subject to a fine of £120 per child per parent.
Nursery Arrangements Please note that Nursery will be closed from July 13th 2015 in order to allow time for visits by all the new children and parents. Therefore, the last day for Nursery will be Friday 10th July 2015.
INSET DAY Monday 1st June 2015 Please make a note of this date, as the school will be closed for staff training.
22nd July 2015 This will be the last day of the school year. We will close early at 1.45pm on that day, and there will be no After School Club that day, so please make the necessary childcare arrangements.
Easter Break Please note the dates for the holiday. We return on 20th April 2015. I do hope that you all have a wonderful and restful break.
