A Gold Award was given to Tania Rahman, Ria Sharma and Surenthiran Kavin.
Headteacher’s Award was given to Luiza Stricescu for her brilliant maths work, Yetunde Fadojutimi for her amazing writing work and to Aleeza Mahmood, Zayn Qamar Ahmed and Suraya Ebrahim for drawing their own story maps.

CFA Diversity Event Thursday 19th March 3.15– 4.45pm. Weather permitting, this event will offer many different stalls and a talent show. Stalls will include food items, some of which will be donated by  yourselves as per the recipes sent out by each year group. Please label your donation stating the country, name of the dish and contents e.g. Halal, vegetarian. All dishes should contain no nuts.
If you would like your container returned, please label it underneath with your child’s name and class.

Please also remember this will be a non - uniform day, where children are invited to donate £1 and come dressed in the colours of the national flag of the European country that their year group has been allocated – see below:
Nursery - Albania / Kosovo (red and black or blue and white) 
Reception - Lithuania (yellow, green and red)
Year 1 - Poland (red and white)            
Year 2 - Bulgaria (white, green and red)               
Year 3 - Germany (yellow, black and red)           
Year 4 - Russia (blue, white and red)
Year 5 - Romania (red, yellow and blue)            
Year 6 - Czech Republic (red, white and blue)                                                   
We hope to raise a significant amount of money to further enhance the outdoor areas for the children’s use.
Please come along and support us. If it rains on Thursday, the event will have to be cancelled. However, we will still sell the food on Thursday and if necessary, on Friday.
 
Solar Eclipse Breakfast To celebrate the solar eclipse  which will be happening on Friday 20th March at 8am, Years 1,2 and 5 have been invited for breakfast and to view this spectacular event. This will be a truly momentous experience, which we are very keen for our children to enjoy. The playground gate will open at 7.50am that day just for the year groups mentioned above and close, at the usual time for the remainder of the year groups as normal.

Attendance Well done to class Year 6 Green for achieving 100%.
The overall percentage for last week for the whole school was 95.4%.
 
Parking PLEASE park sensibly in the car park and consider the safety of our children.
PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE DISABLED BAYS, UNLESS YOU HAVE A DISABILITY AND A PERMIT.
 
Numeracy Course for Parents Parents/carers are invited to take part in a 5 week Numeracy course at Cranbrook Primary School. The course will start on Friday 24th April 2015 and will run for 5 weeks until Friday 22nd May from 9am – 11am. Parents will have the opportunity to understand how and what their children are learning in Maths lessons at school, discover new strategies to build confidence and support their child’s learning, as well as improving their own numeracy skills. A certificate will be awarded to all participants at the end of the course. If you would like to enrol then please telephone 020 8518 2562.
 
Colour Assemblies As always, these will be held on Thursday 19th March at 9.15am, as follows:
Red classes, in the Main Hall.
Yellow classes, in the Dance Studio.
Year 1 Performance The children and staff in Year 1 have started rehearsals for their performance, which is due to take place on the afternoon of 26th March at 2.00pm.      
Year 1 parents, please make a note of the date and time.
Medical Appointments Please may I remind parents to make medical appointments after school, as many children are leaving for appointments and not  returning back to school. These appointments will effect their learning and will be marked as unauthorised if no medical evidence is     provided.
