Medication Parents, please remember that if your child has medication in
school, it must be in date and we should have the correct amount according to
their care plans e.g. two epi-pens in school (one to be kept in the classroom
and the other for the medical room).
Child Protection and
Safeguarding Like all settings working
with children, we are required to have policies and procedures in place in line
with our local and National guidelines. I would like to raise parental awareness
of this issue and inform you that if a child makes a disclosure in school, as a
staff team we are required to pass the matter on to Social Services. We are
also committed to working with all families to achieve positive outcomes and
support for our pupils. The main area of concern that has arisen in the school
over recent years relates to domestic violence in the home and/or chastisement
of children (hitting, slapping etc.).
