CFA
Summer Fayre 20th June I hope you are all keeping your fingers crossed for a day of
sunshine on 20th June, so that this event may take place outside. Many of you
have asked if more tickets will be available and we certainly hope to sell more
tickets, but not at this stage as the weather is so unpredictable. If it rains,
the event will take place inside, where a limit on numbers has to apply for
health and safety reasons. Therefore, we will see what the weather forecast is
closer to the date before selling more tickets. However, please note, if it is
sunny on 20th June, tickets will be available on the day.
Tokens
for the Summer Fayre can be purchased in the playground from Monday 10th June.
Tokens will be available to buy before and after school at
a cost of 50p each. These can be used on most of the stalls.
Non-Uniform
Day Children are invited to come
into school in non-uniform on Friday 14th June. Children can wear their own
clothes and we will be asking for a small donation (per family) of items that
can be used in the Summer Fayre. This may include chocolate, bottles of soft
drinks or raffle prizes.

interested in coming into school to deliver a talk, then please discuss this
with your child’s class teacher.
Transition Information
Session For Year 5 Parents We would
like to invite all of our Year 5 parents to our secondary school transition information
session. This is a very important meeting which will take place on
Wednesday 19th June from 9am - 10.30am. We will discuss the secondary school application
process and how we at Cranbrook can support you. You will have the opportunity to meet the Heads of Year 7
from Valentines and
Wanstead Secondary Schools. They will talk about life in secondary school and
answer any questions that you may have. Refreshments will be available on the
day. Please ensure that you attend this meeting.
CGP study books (English,
Maths and Science) will also be available to purchase at this meeting.
Jump Rope For Heart This is an exciting and fun activity where the
children will be participating in a skipping activity during their PE session. On Tuesday 11th June your
child will be bringing home a sponsorship form for ‘Jump Rope for Heart’. 80% of all donations will go
towards The British Heart Foundation and 20% of the money raised will be
donated to the school for PE resources. All sponsorship forms should be
returned during the week beginning 24th June. So, practice your skipping at
home and get ready for ‘Jump Rope For Heart’!
Security Bike Marking
Event The police will be carrying out security bike marking in the
playground on Thursday 13th June. If you are interested, you will need to
complete a brief form and these can be collected from the School Office or will
be handed out on the day. Please bring your child’s bike in on the day and
leave it in the fenced off gym area with the form attached.
Bikeability Training For

offering training to Year 6 children.

able to ride their bike they are eligible to take part. A letter was sent home
on 20th May and the deadline for retuning forms has been extended until Friday
7th June. Don’t miss out - there are only 24 places available!
