School Lunch Arrears Would parents/carers please make sure that their lunch arrears are paid in full by the end of this week at the latest.  If you cannot pay for your child’s school lunch then you will be asked to provide a packed lunch until the arrears have been settled. School dinners must be paid for in advance.
Fruit Tuck Shop—As part of our drive to continually develop Cranbrook as a healthy school, we are keen to start a fruit tuck shop for Key Stage 2 children.  Our trial week begins on Tuesday 22nd May 2012.  A letter with all the details will reach you before the end of the week.
Railings  From Monday 21st May the council will be erecting safety barriers at the front of the school.  Please take extra care while this work is being carried out.
Fire Alarm—routine at the end of the day  The alarm was accidentally set off after school last Friday.  Parents please note that if this happens, you are required to move away from the building towards the fence, so that classteachers can reach the assembly points for checking their classes.  Children who have already been dismissed, will be the parent’s responsibility.
Parent Governor Vacancy  We have a vacancy for a parent governor. All parents are eligible to apply and are requested to write to me outlining why you would be a good parent governor.  Please be aware that this role is voluntary and unpaid. If you are interested please collect a form from the school office.
Diamond Jubilee Lunch On Tuesday 29th May the catering staff ISS will be doing a special lunch menu for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The menu will be a hot buffet menu comprising of BBQ Drumsticks, Margarita pizza or Nachos with salsa and sour cream, carrot and cucumber sticks, cherry tomatoes, cajun potato wedges, fruit bar, fresh bread, then ice-cream or Victoria sponge finger. The price will be as normal £1.99.  Please send in the money to school in the normal way if you wish your child to have school lunch on that day.
Parents going into toilets with children  It has come to my notice that some parents are entering the children’s toilets after school when their child needs to go.  For Safeguarding all pupils, this is not acceptable and should not occur—ever!
