Open School As usual, I would like to invite all parents and carers to walk through the school and look at your child’s class books on Monday 30th April between 3.30 – 4.15pm. Please note that this is an opportunity for the children to show their books to parents, rather than a meeting with the class teacher.

Jubilee/Afternoon Tea Party A Jubilee/Afternoon Tea party is being organised by the local Neighbourhood Watch Team for the 27th May 2012 at the Frenford Club. The event is open to all in the neighbourhood, so family and friends are welcome. There will be a charge on the door for £1 per adult, children free entry. A Neighbourhood Watch newsletter will be printed in the next few weeks with further information.

School Council Charity Bake Sale After the success of the last cake sale, the school council members have organised a bake sale to raise money for a chosen charity. The sale will be held after school on Wednesday 2nd May 2012 in the small hall. Most of the cakes on sale will be prepared during the day, however we would also welcome any cake donations. If you would like to donate a cake, please give it to your child’s teacher by the morning of Wednesday 2nd May. Whether freshly prepared or donated, all the cakes will be utterly delicious, so come along and treat yourself! (Make sure you bring your small change)

CFA Table Top Sale We are glad to inform you that the Valentines Park branch of Barclays Bank have match-funded the money raised at the Table Top Sale meaning that the event raised almost £1,000. Thank you Barclays!

Choir for Years 4,5 and 6 Choir for years 4, 5 and 6 is being held every Friday from 3.15-4.15pm starting this Friday 27th April and will be working on songs that will lead to a performance at school in the summer term. If your child enjoys singing, is prepared to work hard and would like to be a part of Cranbrook choir, please collect a form from the school office and return by Friday morning (27th April).

Collection of children after clubs Please note that to improve our security, children will need to be collected from the link doorway. Therefore, parents will need to come to the main school gate.

Police Presentation/Parking Workshop All parents/carers are invited to attend this workshop. This will be taking place next Tuesday 1st May at 9am and will be addressing the major ongoing issues we have at Cranbrook, these will include keeping your children safe whilst driving to and from school, safe parking in the vicinity of schools and the use of seat belt restraints.
