Teachers’ Strike Please be aware that a national strike has been scheduled by
two major Teaching Unions for Wednesday 26th March. Further information will
follow shortly on how this may affect the school.
SATs Week Year 6 parents, please note that SATs will take place from
Monday 12th to 16th May. Absences for Year 6 pupils will not be authorised unless
medical evidence is provided or exceptional circumstances apply. Therefore,
please make every effort to bring your child to school on time.
Main Car Park Yet again, I have received reports of aggressive behaviour
from the parents who are using the car park. Using profane language, especially
in front of children is NOT acceptable!
Everyone has a right to use the car park and this behaviour cannot be
tolerated. I would ask the lady who regularly comes through the NO ENTRY sign
(registration T200FAN) to be more considerate and a better role model for her
own children.

Punctuality As you are aware the school gates and playground doors are
locked at 9.05am promptly. Please ensure you arrive in good time for 8.55am for
Years 3 to 6 and 9am for Reception to Year 2.
Road Works Whilst the road works are in place on The Drive, please allow
more time for your journey to and from school.

Cranbrook Friends
Association (CFA) Event All parents/carers and
parent representatives are invited to come along to a CFA planning meeting on
Friday at 2pm in the staff room. The purpose of the meeting is to plan our
Spring Term event which will take place after school on Thursday 3rd April.
Further details will follow in the next newsletter.
Cranbrook Parenting Course We would like to invite parents, carers and grandparents to
take part in a five week parenting course starting on Friday 7th March and will
run until Friday 4th April. The course will take place at the school from
9.15-11.15am. Participants will have
the opportunity to meet other parents, strengthen their parenting skills,
develop new skills and techniques, learn how to manage behaviour in a positive
way and raise children’s self-esteem. A certificate will be awarded to all participants
at the end of the course and free refreshments will be provided throughout. If
you would like to enrol or would like further information, please contact
Beverley (the school’s Parent Support Adviser) on 0208 518 2562.
