Well done to all of you!

Absences We have been receiving an increasing amount of unacceptable excuses from parents regarding the absence of their child. Please be advised that you will not be authorised absence from school to take your child to the airport to collect a relative! Continual intermittent absence can result in a fine from the Local Authority.

Alternative Lunches I have been disappointed to hear that parents who failed to pay for their child’s dinners, in spite of several reminders think it is acceptable to shout at school office staff. Those parents know who they are and I hope that in future, instead of spending your energy  shouting at or abusing office staff, you will put your hand in your pocket and pay what you owe. The non ‘gentle’man, who swore at Linda in Punjabi should be ashamed of himself and is asked to refrain from coming to the school, until he learns some manners!

Update Contact Details If you have changed your phone number/address, please inform the school office, so that we have the correct information in the case of an emergency.

After School Late Gate The number of children not being collected until the end of the school day is unacceptable. Please ensure that your child is collected on time so that staff are able to get on with what they need to do, rather than provide free child care for some parents!
Open School As previously, I would like to  invite all parents and carers to walk through the school and look at your child’s class books on Tuesday 21st May 2013 between 3.30-4.15pm. Please note that this is an opportunity for the children to show their books to parents, rather than a meeting with the class teacher.

Road Safety Theatre Last week the children in year 1 and 2 enjoyed a road safety theatre show in the hall. This is a new School Travel Plan initiative and we hope to repeat this in the future.
