Karate Award Tharmendra Shanjeevan (3 Green) was one of 228 children who recently competed in an international karate tournament in Japan. He was awarded a bronze and silver medal for karate and also received a 1st place trophy for Kata. Congratulations, Tharmendra on your fantastic achievement!

Opening of the Sensory Garden/5th Anniversary of the School We had a fantastic celebration last Thursday when a number of our pupils showcased their talents and we also heard from Yolanda Guns, Chair of Governors and the Deputy Mayor of Redbridge. This was followed by the official opening of the sensory garden.
Please do come along and have a look at the new plaque. All classes have had the opportunity to visit the garden and children will be selected daily to access this incredible provision. I would like to take the opportunity to thank all staff who organised the event and indeed the CFA for supporting us financially.

Parking Please do not park in front of the main school gate, as this prevents access for emergency vehicles and indeed those who are legitimately using the small car park.

Year 3 Diwali Performance Last Thursday some Year 3 children were invited to perform a Diwali dance at Hatton Primary School. The performers had a great time performing in three different assemblies for the school and enjoyed showing off their dancing skills to other children! The children from Hatton gave the performers a warm welcome and we hope to be working with them in the future.

Punctuality Please note that the staircase doorways will be closed at 9.05am promptly. If you arrive after this time you will need to go via the office, so that your child’s name is entered in the class register. This is a safety matter and I would ask all late parents not to send their child to class when registers have already returned to the office.

Fronter This exciting digital learning provision for your child will allow:

• Your child to participate in online discussions with their class

• You to see videos of your child at school performances

• You will be able to access information related to what your child is learning in school

Find out more information in the next newsletter! Samina and Priya.
