Newsletter No 2 12th September 2012

Congratulations to Aditya Verma (4R) who recently participated in the European Youth Chess Championship in Prague and came 8th amongst 79 participants from 42 European countries. We are most proud that he was joint third in the ranking, well done Aditya!

Year Group Information Sessions Apologies for the omission of the dates for the year group sessions in the last newsletter. The remaining sessions are as follows:

Yr 1 - 9am Thursday 13th September

Yr 5 - 9am Friday 14th September

Y6 SATs/Information Meeting This meeting for parents and carers will take place on Tuesday 18th September 9-9.45am in the main hall. I would urge you to attend as we will be covering a number of key Y6 issues.

Disabled Parking Bay You may have noticed that over the holidays, we had disabled parking bays marked out and sign posted in both of our car parks. Please kindly refrain from parking in these bays unless you have a valid disabled parking badge. These bays are enforceable by law and tickets can be issued by the police when they visit.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE BEND TO THE JACK CARTER CENTRE OR IN FRONT OF THEIR GATES AS THEIR VEHICLES CANNOT GET IN.

Pupil Medication Can you ensure that as a matter of urgency, you bring into school any medication (such as asthma pumps/Epipens) that your child takes.

Closing Times of School Office Please note the school office staff take their breaks at the following times:

10-11.30am

1.15-2.30pm

Please avoid these times.

Book Fair This will be taking place on Friday 21st September after school. Please do come along and have a browse at the competitively priced books.

Dinner Money Please remember that all monies must be paid in advance at the beginning of the week to the school office. The cost of a school lunch is £2 per day and £10 per week. This should be sent in a clearly labelled envelope.

Bollywood Fuzion is a Bollywood fitness dance and Zumba (Latin based) class which willin our Dance Studio as follows:

Saturdays, 10am-11am -Zumba

Grand Opening of St. Andrew’s Church Please do come along for the official opening of the church on Saturday 22nd September from 2-5pm. There will be plenty of stalls and displays for all the family to enjoy.
