School Improvement Priorities We continue to work on improving our performance in personalising the learning to meet the needs of individuals and groups of pupils. Pupil targets have been shared with the children and we would invite you to discuss them with your child.

Happy Puzzle Company Shop The Happy Puzzle Company Shop is coming to Cranbrook on 17th January in the Dance Studio at 2.45-3.20pm. This is a unique and fun collection of award-winning 3D puzzles, games, challenges and puzzle books for both children and adults and covering a wide range of areas within the National Curriculum. Also available: Mainstream puzzles and games that will help children with specific learning difficulties such as Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. Prices start at only 75p. (See voucher to claim free gift).

Reading Books If your child’s reading book is not returned to school, there will be a charge of £5.00 to replace the missing book.

Coloured Assemblies On Thursdays we have assemblies where all the same colour classes meet to share what they have been doing in class.
The times for the different coloured groups are as follows:
Blue and Green classes will be every Thursday at 9.10am
Red and Yellow classes will be every Thursday at 2.45pm
We would like to invite parents to come along to these assemblies every Thursday starting on Thursday 26th January.

If you would like to request a place in any of these please complete a form from the main school office as soon as possible.
If you have already been offered a place please make sure that you have sent the payment into school by the end of next week to keep your child’s place at the club.
We continue to add more clubs to those that we offer but unfortunately lack of demand has meant we have cancelled two of our clubs this term. Other clubs are at risk if we are unable to have a high enough attendance to cover the cost of the coaches.

Parent Coffee Morning Once again, I would like to invite you in as parents to share your ideas about the school and ways in which we can improve our provision further. The coffee morning will be on Monday 23rd January at 9.00am in the small hall.

Year 1 and 4 performance dates The Year 1 performance to parents is on Wednesday 28th March at 2pm.
The Year 4 performance to parents is on Wednesday 21st March pm.

Parking PLEASE help us by driving safely and LEGALLY in the car park, and show consideration for our neighbours by not parking on or across their driveways.

Open School As usual, I would like to invite all parents and carers to walk through the school and look at your child’s class books on Thursday 26th January between 3.30 – 4.15pm. Please note that this is an opportunity for the children to show their books to parents, rather than a meeting with the class teacher.

SRE Meeting for Year 5 parents The follow-up SRE meeting for Year 5 parents is on Wednesday 18th January at 9am.

Dinner Money and Arrears Please make sure that dinner money is paid in advance and that any arrears are paid in full, otherwise you will be asked to provide a packed lunch for your child. Please send the money into school in an envelope clearly labelled with your child’s name and class.

Jewellery and PE Kits We have been extremely concerned about the number of children missing PE lessons through not having their PE Kits in school. Please be reminded that PE is an essential part of your child’s curriculum. Also, children should not wear or bring jewellery to school other than small ear studs and a basic watch. Please note that jewellery should not be worn for PE, if stud earrings cannot be removed, they will need to be taped over.
