Coloured Strings Thank you to those parents who attended the final lesson on Tuesday.

Year 6 Final Assembly All Year 6 parents are invited to come along to their Final Assembly on Thursday at 9.30am. This will be followed by refreshments. We hope many of you will be able to join us at this special event. In addition, as an end of year treat, we have organised a disco for our Year 6 pupils from 2.30-4.30pm (no parents allowed) for which they can bring party clothes.

My Last Day This Term My last day this term will be Thursday, as I will be attending my final assemblies at Glade Primary School on Friday and become full time substantive Head at Cranbrook from September.

Non-Uniform Day Friday will be a non-uniform day. The children have been talking and learning about children in Africa. Through our learning we found out that many children in Africa cannot go to school, do not have clean water or enough food. To help with this we have decided to help raise money for ‘Self Help Africa’. We appreciate any donation, but would ask for a 50p donation to come to school in non-uniform.

Ramadan/Eid When we return in September, it will still be Ramadan. We have therefore arranged for only Yrs 5 & 6 pupils to fast during school. The library will be available and supervised for these pupils at lunchtime. Please note, only 1 day will be authorised for Eid.

Breakfast (8-9am)/Afterschool Club (3.15-5pm) Please note that this childcare provision will be available from 6th September, term-time only.

Lost Property Please collect any lost property from the School Office. Any items remaining at the end of term will be donated to charity.

Staffing Update I am thrilled to announce that we are fully staffed for September and that the staff team remains stable. Please join me in welcoming our 6 new Class Teachers who joined this month ready to take over their class positions in September – Tracey and Jasmina in Reception, Chloe in Year 1, Harman in Year 2, John in Year 4 and Ian in Year 5. We also welcome Pavan as SEN co-ordinator, Mark and Darshan as Deputies both of whom are bringing a wealth of experience with them and Adam and Paul, Teaching Assistants in Year 2 and 6 respectively. Sadly, we say a fond farewell to Alex who is leaving to pursue alternative career options, Megan who is starting her new position in a Secondary school in September and Becca who is getting married in the summer and relocating to Amersham. I am sure you will join me in wishing them well and thanking them for all their hard work and commitment during their time at Cranbrook.

Baby News Congratulations to Clare Hall (Year 6 Teacher) on the birth of her son, George, on Tuesday 13th July and to Naz Duru-Ahmet (School Office) on the birth of her twin sons, Kaan and Karem on 3rd July.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your continued support and positive feedback.
I wish you all an enjoyable summer break and look forward to seeing you again on Monday 6th September, when school re-opens for pupils.

Yours faithfully

Jas Leverton, Head teacher
